SPECIAL MST Practica – Esto Es Canyegue with Barry & Natasha
Esto es Canyengue

Come and enjoy a fun afternoon learning the rhythm and movement style of the earliest form of tango: Canyengue.

Guided by Barry Arnold and Natasha Eracleous we will explore tango’s purest form and its relevance and application to the modern evolution of our beloved dance – tango.

DJ Mark our regular DJ at the MST Practica, will be playing his wide collect of tango music from the 1920s-40s European tango orchestras, many of them rare, a lot of them beautifully danceable but almost never played.

See you there!

Guided practice: starting at 3.00pm
Practica: 3.45-6.00 pm
Entry: MST members $5/Non Members $10

Spring into September at ‘Milonga Elegante’ with DJ José!

To suit the splendour and ambience of Buxton Hall, we invite you to don your most elegant and stylish outfits and to bring your most charming attitude.

The delectable DJ José will convey immense variety in his taste in tango music, interlacing classic favourites from the Guardia Vieja and Golden Age with contemporary orchestras reenacting old arrangements and modern interpretations. No two milongas are the same. José carefully crafts his set as the night evolves to keep up the flow on the dance floor, oscillating energy levels between upbeat rhythmic and dense melodic tandas.
